Ken began his automotive career in 1976 as the first F&I Manager for Ohio’s largest Buick dealer. He successfully grew the department into a multi person and profitable area of the dealership. Soon afterward, he then used his finance experience to help build what became one of the largest dealer affiliated leasing companies in the United States.
Over the next several years he held positions of sales manager, general sales manager and general manager for Buick and Toyota dealerships. His accomplishments included leading the dealerships to top sales positions and CSI rankings. Ken then teamed up with JM Family Enterprises to form a commercial fleet leasing company, where he developed a large portfolio of fleet leasing clients.
In 1995, Ken was one of the original members involved in the start up and roll out of AutoNation USA, which is now the largest retailer of automobiles and trucks in the United States. Here his many years of knowledge and experience led to the development of many of the sales, service, parts and CSI processes used in today’s dealerships.
In 2003, Ken founded Strategic Automotive Services, LLC, a diversified automotive consulting company. He has been successful in coordinating dealer and manufacturer relationships throughout the United States, the Caribbean and Canada, specializing in improving dealership profitability and mergers and acquisitions.
In addition, Ken has worked with Wheego Electric Cars in Atlanta, GA, to develop a network of dealers throughout the US and Caribbean. And as an independent Senior Consultant for Ford Motor Company and Ford Motor Credit, Ken has developed professional relationships with many Commercial Vehicle Center dealers, while improving overall profitability for both manufacturer and dealer.
Due to his extensive experience in automotive dealership operations he is well known throughout the industry as an excellent coach, trainer, and motivator.
Ken resides in North Georgia with his wife and has two children and four grandchildren.
